Angel View’s mission, and our forte, is helping children and adults with disabilities reach their maximum potential. We currently help more than 100 developmentally disabled children and young adults learn independent living skills.
Clients achieve their maximum potential with the help of physicians, dieticians, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, recreational therapists, work experience trainers, educational programs and physical therapists. In several cases, we’ve achieved the greatest success possible: because of the treatment and therapies Angel View has provided -- the state has approved residents to live on their own. In other cases, residents’ self-esteem has dramatically improved with their growth in independence.
Since Angel View was founded in 1954 by a group of concerned parents whose children suffered from polio, we have accepted clients without regard to sex, nationality or religion. We make every effort to accommodate our clients’ cultural and religious customs.
Our residents are referred from the Regional Center program, most through the Inland Regional Center. All are Medi-Cal recipients. HUD classifies all individuals with disabilities as low-income. As a result, 100% of our residents (regardless of their age and family status) are classified by the state and federal government as low-income.
While we receive Medi-Cal funds for client services, our level of service goes far beyond our level of reimbursement.
