Martha's Village & Kitchen serves more than 250,000 meals every year. A retail store distributes clothing and furniture to families in need, and Martha's distributes canned goods and food packages to the poor three times a week.
The Dan Dunlap Center provides the area's homeless population with educational programs and job training, children's programs, counseling and access to health care. The new complex houses and provides three meals a day to 120 guests, including families with children and single women. it also houses a medical clinic and dining room.
Based on the experience of other Father Joe's Village, families will stay an average of 10-12 months, with single adults normally requiring a four-to six-month stay. Upon graduating from the program, each adult will receive job placement and housing assistance.
